Ex-Roma attacker Antonio Cassano weighed in on his former club on the latest edition of Bobo TV.
‘Fantonio’, who spent four seasons with the Giallorossi, suggested that the Giallorossi still lacked the proper balance when it comes to their playing style. He also contended that even though Roma have only one defeat in seven matches, some of the results could have gone in another direction.
“Roma’s lost only one of their four league matches, but they could’ve lost another two,” he said.
“They didn’t play well against Fiorentina except for the first twenty minutes. They were at risk of losing even when Fiorentina were down to ten men. Then they found a ‘wild card’ in the form of El Shaarawy against Sassuolo.”
“Rome is the type of environment where you have to give enthusiasm. Right now they need to find the proper balance, you have to understand if you want to play like Zeman or Castori, is everyone going forward or is everyone staying back.”
He added, “Even though they won big against CSKA Sofia I thought they took too many risks. The Bulgarian side had the chance to score more goals. The defence is too often penetrated while the midfield gets compromised.”
