Argentina’s Lionel Scaloni lauds Mourinho for Dybala’s recovery

Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni spoke in his first presser ahead of the national team’s highly anticipated World Cup campaign.

The Argentine technician had high praise for Dybala and Mourinho’s decision-making with regards to the player’s quick recovery which allowed the 29-year-old to be included in the final squad list.

“We didn’t speak too often, Paulo and I,” Scaloni told reporters earlier this morning from the team’s training camp. “I got in touch with him when he got injured and told him what I thought of the situation.”

“The road to recovery went well and we are very pleased. His coach [Mourinho] managed his recovery very well and was very cautious before getting him back on the pitch.”

“In the end, they managed to accelerate the recovery process and Dybala played on Sunday before the call-up. We appreciate having him here with us, it’s a great joy for us.”
