Argentina manager Luis Scaloni clarified the situation regarding the impending call-up list that is expected to be released in the coming weeks ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.
The technician spoke about the injuries that have plagued Argentine players at the start of this season including Juve’s Angel Di Maria and Roma’s Paulo Dybala.
“We await more news from clubs to make our final decision,” Scaloni said in a recent interview with ESPN. “We still have time to communicate the list and we will see how the boys respond over the next week or two, but it is still a complicated situation for all of us.”
“Given these circumstances, with several guys currently unable to play, we decided to wait until the last moment to make our announcement.”
“My idea is for anyone with a scratch to stay home. Only those who are ready to play the first game will board the plane to Qatar.”
