Feyenoord manager Arne Slot took the time to respond to Mourinho’s comments from a week ago.
In an interview with Voetbal International, Slot briefly previewed tomorrow night’s return leg with Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.
“At the Olimpico we will start all over again despite the 1-0 advantage. And even if we were to lose tomorrow, I would sleep well that same night and definitely not stay awake for the next ten months,” he said.
“A very tough match awaits us in Rome, we already realized that in the last 25 minutes at De Kuip. We felt pressure and we know what lies ahead. It seems like a logical aspect of the tie.”
“I didn’t think we’d win with our hands in our pockets when Roma came out as opponents in the draw. It’s an incredible duel in which everything is still up for grabs.”
