The Mirror (Cross) – Arsenal are ready to sell Henrikh Mkhitaryan this summer to help raise funds for a low budget transfer window.
Roma are keen to sign Mkhitaryan on a permanent basis after having him on loan this season and the 31-year-old midfielder has one year left on his contract.
Arsenal could expect to get around £10 million (€11.4 million) but Roma’s valuation falls short even of that value.
They have been talking about a player-plus-cash deal as clubs begin to tentatively plan ahead.
But Arsenal would prefer the cash as Mkhitaryan is still regarded as a good player, good character and therefore they will only do a deal if it is right in difficult circumstances.
