Arsenal to accept Roma’s bid for Xhaka after signing Lokonga

Arsenal finally find their replacement in the midfield after a few weeks worth of negotiations with Anderlecht for 21-year-old Albert Sambi Lokonga. The deal was made official earlier today, which further pushes Granit Xhaka in Roma’s direction.

The Swiss international has been waiting for the green light for over a month now, with the Gunners refusing to let him go before finding a valid replacement. Now that Lokonga has signed with the English side, Roma are hoping to get their hands on Xhaka.

According to Angelo Mangiante of Sky Sport it’s only a matter of days before Granit Xhaka signs with the capital club. The deal could be completed within the end of this week. Mourinho will thus finally get his midfielder.

The player will likely join the team during pre-season training camp in Portugal.
