Bad news for Roma as Artem Dovbyk does not seem to be in best physical condition after leaving on international duty.

The Ukrainian federation has in fact announced on social media that Artem Dovbyk will miss the next two Nations League matches against Albania and Georgia due to injury.

The causes have not yet been specified, with Roma immediately contacting the player to assess the extent of the injury.

According to the official statement released by the Ukrainian federation, the injury dates back to the last match with Juventus and prevented Dovbyk from participating in group training with Ukraine.

The player is set to make his return to Italy to continue his recovery at Trigoria.

Daniele De Rossi and the club will await with their fingers crossed as Roma’s only alternative to Dovbyk is Eldor Shomurodov.
