Assistant manager Joao Sacramento: “Rotations are essential. Everyone must feel important.”

Andy Mattioli

Mourinho’s assistant, Joao Sacramento, spoke to the club’s official channels following the win over CSKA Sofia and talked about the impact of the fans at the Olimpico.

“We played against a courageous team, a team that arrived here at the Olimpico and with 30,000 fans against them was not afraid. CSKA Sofia played with an attitude that we did not expect, it was not easy.”

“The result does not fully reflect the game. It is a heavy result but it is important for us, especially in a situation like this where we changed 6-7 players. It is essential for us to make these rotations because everyone must feel important. The season is long and today the boys have proved their worth.”

“When you play with the public it’s different, everything we’ve been through in the last year and a half has been difficult, but the truth is that when there are 30,000 people it’s another thing. Let’s just wait until there can be many more. Normally we say that the fans are the twelfth man and for this I thank them.”
