Atalanta boss Gasperini: “We didn’t play badly against Roma.”

Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini went over the Bergamaschi’s defeat at the Stadio Olimpico in his press conference earlier today where he was asked to preview La Dea’s upcoming Europa League game vs Bayer Leverkusen.

The former Genoa coach said, “Sometimes you just can’t explain everything. Our performance against Roma wasn’t bad at all, which is a shame because you often base your judgement on the result rather than the performance.”

“The league games are mostly well balanced, and it takes very little to tip that balance. That’s how the game went, we can’t stop now.”

“There’s still a lot at stake, a lot to play for,” he concluded.
