Atalanta, Percassi: “Gasperini won’t leave”.

Atalanta managing director, Luca Percassi, was interviewed by L’Eco di Bergamo and was asked about the futures of manager Gian Piero Gasperini and attacker Josip Iličić, both of whom have been linked to Roma. These are his words:

“We haven’t received anything in terms of Gasperini’s departure, perhaps because everyone knows how we’ll respond – we won’t even discuss it. Gasperini is the right man with the right group. He still has three years left on his contract. There’s no question – the team is playing for him and the next Atalanta will be competitive, with Iličić, like many others, being untouchable. It’s not easy to improve this team”.
