Alessandro Florenzi, who recently returned to Roma after his loan spell at Valencia, is likely to depart the Giallorossi on a permanent transfer this summer.
Sky Sport has reported that one of the sides most interested in the 29 year-old is Atalanta. Reportedly, Gian Piero Gasperini’s side tried to acquire Florenzi during the January transfer window but they were unsuccessful in their pursuit of the wide man.
Atalanta will make another attempt to acquire the Roman, who is not in the plans of current manager Paulo Fonseca.
Florenzi initially began the 2019/2020 campaign as the first choice right back for Roma, however, he found himself lower in Fonseca’s pecking order as the season progressed, eventually falling behind the likes of Leonardo Spinazzola and Davide Santon.
