Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini was satisfied with his side’s winning effort against Roma.

The Italian technician praised his team despite the numerous wasted chances that resulted in Atalanta only winning 2-1 over De Rossi’s Roma.

“We had many scoring situations but we didn’t have precise aim, otherwise we would have ended the match earlier without suffering in the second half,” he told DAZN at full-time.

“In the final minutes we had sensational opportunities, the game remained open until the end. Not winning this match tonight would have created many problems for us,” he added.
