Atalanta were held a huge blow this morning when the extent of Gianluca Scamacca’s recent injury was revealed.
During yesterday’s friendly match against Parma, Gianluca Scamacca immediately collapsed to the ground after having placed his left knee badly and the initial negative sensations were confirmed this morning.
As reported by Angelo Mangiante of Sky Sport, the Italian center forward suffered a ruptured ACL, meniscus and collateral ligaments.
He will be operated on this morning at Villa Stuart by Professor Mariani.
The recovery times have not yet been defined, but the possibility of his season being over is concrete.
