Following their 2-0 defeat at the San Siro with Milan, Atalanta manager Gianpiero Gasperini did not sound too optimistic about his side’s chances in the upcoming final round of Serie A.
“We must hope for Roma to lose at Torino and maybe wish them to win the Conference League – that way we would all be happy,” he told the media after the final whistle.
“I’m still very happy with our campaign,” he added.
“It was one of the most difficult. The position in the standings is certainly undeserved.”
