Atalanta’s Luis Muriel drawing interest from Roma

Atalanta striker Luis Muriel could be on the move this summer as he enters the final twelve months of his contract with La Dea.

The Colombian and his agent, Alessandro Lucci, haven’t reached an agreement with the Bergamo side on a new deal despite extensive negotiations—creating an opening for a potential transfer exit.

Atalanta don’t want to lose him for free and are open to a transfer if contract renewal talks with his agent continue to stall.

According to Rai Sport, Roma are one of a handful of clubs that would be interested in potentially acquiring the 31 year-old, who’s tallied 13 goals and 9 assists in all competitions this season.

Since joining Atalanta from Sevilla in 2019, Muriel has racked up an impressive 58 goals and 21 assists in 126 total appearances for the club.
