Atalanta midfielder Marten de Roon celebrated his MVP award for tonight’s 2-0 win over Roma in his post-match with Sky Sport.
“I was joking during the week, that as a midfielder I do the dirty work and I never score, I never win this trophy and instead today is my lucky day.”
“It wasn’t easy, there was balance between the two teams and then with a bit of luck my shot went in,” he added.
“We only risked once and risked scoring even more goals. Now we have to stay calm and always play with the right balance.”
“I must congratulate the team tonight, it’s a great result,” he added.
