Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo: “I don’t think Morata will go to Italy.”

Atletico Madrid forward Alvaro Morata had been linked with Roma as a potential replacement of Tammy Abraham.

The Spanish attacker is a profile that seemed to intrigue Roma’s management given his vast experience in Serie A and his good rapport with Roma star Paulo Dybala.

However, the future of Morata – despite recent links with Milan – is unlikely to unfold in Italy after all.

Atletico’s president, Enrique Cerezo, denied the claims of advanced talks with Milan for the Spanish international in an interview with Cadena COPE, “We have no news on Morata’s future, but I’m surprised by what I heard. I don’t think he will go to Italy.”
