As Roma’s search for an additional midfielder continues – with the Giallorossi rumoured to be closing in on Olympiakos’ Mady Camara – the capital club are once again being linked with out-of-favor Atletico Madrid player Saúl Ñíguez.
The Spanish midfielder is coming off an unsuccessful loan spell at Stamford Bridge and is yet to determine what his future will look like upon his return to Spain. Atletico coach Diego Simeone is reportedly unwilling to take a chance on the 27-year-old and thus Saúl is pushing for an exit before the transfer deadline.
According to Spanish outlet El Gol Digital, Roma are one of the teams that have come forward for Saúl and presented an official proposal. The player is very much appreciated by Roma coach Jose Mourinho and, as a result, could evaluate the Giallorossi’s offer.
