Ausilio’s Inter future linked to Conte, Roma remain interested

Roma remain very interested in Inter director Piero Ausilio as a potential candidate for their vacant sporting director role.

Gianluca Di Marzio has confirmed that the Giallorossi are indeed considering Ausilio as a replacement for Gianluca Petrachi, who was sacked in June.

Ausilio, though, is first awaiting updates from the Nerazzurri and the situation with manager Antonio Conte. Should the former Chelsea boss opt to depart Inter, then it is likely that Ausilio would remain with the club with Max Allegri the favorite to replace Conte.

However, should Conte remain, then Ausilio would depart from the Nerazzurri given his relationship with the 51 year-old has deteriorated.
