Banner outside of Roma’s headquarters hits out at club president James Pallotta

John Solano

Roma president James Pallotta remains an extremely unpopular figure in the eyes of many Giallorossi supporters, who made their voices heard today with a banner outside of the club’s EUR-district offices.

The banner read, ”Nine years of lies and gaffes, two years without having come to Rome, 280 million (euros worth) of debt…0 trophies won. Pallotta go home”!

The American has recently drawn the ire of Roma supporters after having rejected a fresh bid last month from The Friedkin Group to acquire the club.

The two sides have been engaged in negotiations since October and came to a final agreement in March. However, the parties opted to wait on closing the deal to see what sort of effect the COVID-19 pandemic would have.
