As the season winds down to a close, Roma continue to stay active on the market ahead of the summer transfer window.
The latest rumors from Spain have linked the Italian capital club with Riqui Puig of Barcelona.
According to El Nacional, the Giallorossi had expressed interest in the young midfielder already in January. Roma intended to carry forward these advances going into the summer but the interest was not mutual.
The Spanish giants and the player himself reportedly declined Roma’s advances.
Puig is committed to working under newly appointed Barcelona manager Xavi, and is thus not interested in moving abroad anytime soon.
