Bartosz Bereszyński considered as back-up to Rick Karsdorp

With the January transfer window fast approaching, Roma are prioritizing key areas for further improvement. More specifically, the club are looking to strengthen the midfield and add a full-back that could substitute for Rick Karsdorp.

According to Corriere dello Sport, despite rumors linking him to the capital club, Ajax’s Mazraoui would only be able to join at the end of the season. The player is reportedly not leaving Amsterdam in January.

Thus, the search for a valid back-up to Karsdorp continues.

The latest name is that of Bartosz Bereszyński of Sampdoria. The 29-year-old fits the bill of an experienced Serie A player who could easily slot in and adapt to Mourinho’s tactics.

Bereszyński is one of the many names Tiago Pinto will look at for the January transfer window.
