Former Roma and Fiorentina forward Gabriel Batistuta discussed the Giallorossi’s title chances this season when asked about the Scudetto race in Serie A.

The Argentine claims there’s several sides with title aspirations including Roma.

“Only 5-6 match days have passed. It could be a good year for Roma, for Inter, for Milan…there’s a lot of contenders in Serie A,” he told LA7.

“With the arrivals of Mourinho and Dybala, Roma are experiencing something similar to what we did in 2001.”

“Hopefully this Roma can also experience a similar ending like us.”

Adding, “There’s a new ownership group and a lot of enthusiasm surrounding the club. I hope this lasts for a long time.”
