Bayer executive Simon Rolfes: “Roma are playing more offensively this time around.”

Andy Mattioli

Bayer Leverkusen director Simon Rolfes was interviewed on the eve of the first leg of the Europa League semifinals with Roma.

The German executive spoke at the end of the team’s training session prior to their flight to Italy for Thursday night’s fixture.

“All players have recovered. Everyone on the UEFA list is available and that’s positive for us,” said Rolfes.

“Obviously I expect a very competitive match. Roma is a high-level team. If you make a comparison with last year, Roma are playing more offensively.”

“For this reason I don’t think it will be the same match as last year, but it will certainly be competitive.”
