Bayer Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro discussed his team’s draw with Roma for the second consecutive year in the Europa League semi’s.

In an interview with Radio Marca, Carro reiterated his club’s intention to avenge last year’s elimination from the competition at the hands of Jose Mourinho’s Roma.

“We have a desire for revenge, and a great hunger to win and get ourselves into the final. We want to get to the final at all costs.”

“Roma will be tough to face because it’s a new situation for us – they have a new coach. In football there is always a second chance, but this is not revenge. It’s the second chance to do better and beat Roma.”
