Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes discussed his side’s chances heading into the Europa League semifinal with Roma.

“The tension is rising and the anticipation for the semifinals is enormous,” Rolfes said in an interview with the German club. “Roma-Bayer Leverkusen is a great opportunity and a great challenge. We have the qualities to hurt Roma and we want to exploit our strengths.”

“It will certainly be a very exciting game because we’ll see two different teams clash. We’ll see who can prevail in the end.”

“Tomorrow we have to have a lot of discipline on the pitch. Roma will be supported by the public and will try to disrupt our flow. If we’re able to play our game we might have good chances to win and advance.”
