Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kerem Demirbay was unhappy with the way Roma managed to win on aggregate in the Europa League semifinal.
Demirbay criticised Roma’s defensive set-up in the return leg on Thursday night.
“A pity that a style of play like this can be rewarded in a semi-final of such high level,” Demirbay told Sport.es.
“This result tastes bitter, very bitter. It’s also bad for football in general. But we have to congratulate our opponent. Roma achieved their goal in a disgusting fashion.”
