Belgium manager Domenico Tedesco had high praise for Roma striker Romelu Lukaku after his magnificent performance vs Azerbaijan.
In his post-match reaction, Tedesco showered Lukaku with praise as a result of his four goals scored in less than 38 minutes – a record for the Belgian national team.
“He’s unstoppable,” Tedesco told reporters after the game. “Lukaku was exceptional tonight. When every shot on goal goes on target, you can’t do better.”
“Is he best striker I’ve ever worked with? That’s a difficult question,” Tedesco added. “But I think yes, he is.”
Lukaku remains Belgium’s all-time leading scorer. He’s also the best with most goals ever scored in EURO qualifiers with a total of 14 goals to his name so far.
