Roma striker Andrea Belotti applauded his team’s second half effort in their 4-0 victory over Servette in the Europa League.

Il Gallo scored twice after the break to lead the Giallorossi past the Swiss side to secure their second win over the group stage.

“In the second half, we came back on to the pitch with the attitude of wanting to close out the game,” he told Sky Sport.

“We managed to do so after just ten minutes. In the first half we conceded a couple opportunities to them which can’t happen again, we’re Roma and we want to finish top of this group. That’s why we need to approach each game in the right way, we can’t afford missteps.”

“The approach we had in the second half is the one we need to have in every single match we play.”

He continued, “Now we have to find the right balance between the Europa League and Serie A. Both are important competitions and balance is necessary if we want to grow as a team.”

“As for me, I want to stay on this path. Everyone knows last year wasn’t an easy one for me, I was never at my best because I didn’t take part in preseason and dealt with some injuries.”

“After going through an important preseason with the team I knew the results would come.”
