Benatia: “I could’ve returned to Italy.”

Speaking to Kicker, ex Roma and current Bayern Munich defender Medhi Benatia was asked about his future, here are his words:

“My future depends on Bayern Munich: if I’m told to stay, I’ll stay, but if I’m asked to leave, I am ready. I’ve had two of the most difficult seasons in my career in Germany, I wouldn’t wish it on anyone to go through what I went through. If the manager trusts you but you’re always injured…I have no way of explaining my injuries. There was a chance of when I could’ve returned to Italy, but Rummenigge has blocked it.”
