Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that the goal of Roma remains to try and keep current manager Luciano Spalletti.
The future is still uncertain on Roma’s bench but the club and the new sporting director Monchi are really hoping to keep Spalletti. They are waiting for a definitive decision from Spalletti and have decided not to close a deal for any potential replacement as long as they have the hope of continuing the adventure together with Spalletti.
If Spalletti decided to leave Rome, a real option could be Paulo Sousa. The current manager of Fiorentina, who was present at the Olimpico yesterday to watch the Giallorossi against Juventus, has long been acquainted with Monchi, and there is great respect between the two. Something could be born from this but only when and if Spalletti communicates that he did not want to stay. Other options such as Eusebio Di Francesco there hasn’t been contact with yet. Also Maurizio Sarri and Unai Emery both seem to be staying put.
