Paulo Dybala’s contract expires on June 30th, and rumors are already circulating about his future.
In the last few hours, news has emerged from Portugal that José Mourinho wants to bring “La Joya” to Benfica.
The deal would be costly if the transfer were brought forward to the January transfer window, but even if a free transfer were considered, Benfica would have to meet the Argentine’s demands. Rui Costa, at least for now, has denied the deal.
Intercepted at Lisbon airport, the Portuguese club’s president answered a few questions.
When the subject of Dybala came up, Rui Costa said: “Who mentioned Dybala? You’ll have to ask the journalist; at the moment there’s no truth to it.”
A clear denial, but one that doesn’t clarify the Argentine star’s future. Roma will soon have to resolve the renewal issue to avoid losing him for free, given that several teams are interested in the Giallorossi’s number 21.
