Betis defender German Pezzella claimed Roma never proved to be dangerous over the recent Europa League outings. The Argentine centreback praised his side’s effort to seal their qualification to the next round.
“This is a good point for us,” he told reporters after the final whistle. “It’s a draw that we happily take although we were always looking for a win to begin with.”
“We lacked a bit of accuracy in the second half and failed to impose ourself the way we wanted to.”
“But,” he continued. “Roma had only one shot on goal and that was when they scored.”
“Teams like Roma are used to playing these competitions. They are a very good team so we must feel confident after this result,” he concluded.
