Bodø/Glimt manager Kjetil Knutsen went over the aftermath of the first leg of the Conference League quarterfinals and detailed his thoughts on the matter in an interview with Avisa Nordland, a local newspaper.
“Such events almost make me want to do something else in life,” he said. “I almost reconsidered my career in this sport.”
“What happened is too far from my values, from the values of the club and those of Norwegian football,” he continued.
“In these cases you have to find strength in yourself and react in the best possible way. For me the most important thing is to be able to look at myself in the mirror. If I am no longer able to do this, I should consider whether it is really worth it.”
Knutsen specifically commented on his current perception of Mourinho, “This kind of attitude is shocking from him.”
“His values and his way of coaching are so far off from everything I stand for. It is incredibly disappointing to see such behavior from a great manager who has been a part of the game for so long.”
