Bodo/Glimt denied Ola Solbakken’s Roma transfer before contract expiry in December

Ola Solbakken’s chapter at Bodo/Glimt is winding to an end as the Norwegian attacker has already agreed to join Roma in January despite the capital club have in contact with his entourage ever since the two sides met in November last year in the Conference League group stage.

According to La Repubblica, Roma’s original plan was to sign Solbakken during the World Cup break and consequently bring him to Japan and Portugal for the Giallorossi’s training camp, but Bodo/Glimt denied this request and insisted on Solbakken seeing through the expiry of his contract.

Thus, the 23-year-old will only sign with Mourinho’s team in January. The Italian newspaper states that Solbakken’s contract will be valid until 2027 and worth around €1 million.
