Bodø/Glimt sporting director Aasmund Bjorkan previewed his club’s upcoming Conference League tie against Roma next week.

It will be a rematch between the two sides after they encountered each other twice in the group stage. The Norwegians stunned the capital club during their first meeting in October and dismantled them by a scoreline of 6-1.

“It’s fantastic to play against Roma in this competition again,” Bjorkan told Teleradiostereo.

“Compared to October, though, we lost 4-5 players, big losses. However, we’re happy with the new guys we brought in and our quality has remained the same.”

“We still have the same mentality and we continue to work with the same spirit, so we’ll try and repeat our performance from a few months ago.”

He continued, “We are very happy to have reached the quarterfinals of this competition and I think it will be a difficult challenge for both teams.”

“Roma have grown a lot since November. I’ve watched many of their recent games, for instance I saw their game against Lazio. They really pressured the opponent plus their starting eleven got stronger.”

“The starting eleven they used in Norway was an average side, it won’t be the same this time around. All the teams at this stage in the competition are very strong.”

Finally, “In fact, I’d say Roma is the strongest remaining side, but it’s tough to answer because there’s several high-level, formidable opponents such as Leicester City.”
