As Roma are rumored to be closing in on Bodø/Glimt attacker Ola Solbakken, the Norwegian club’s director Håvard Sakariassen went on the record to deny any speculations regarding negotiations between the two sides.
“Roma have not been in contact with us. Beyond that, I have no comment,” Sakariassen first told Norwegian outlet Nettavisen.
He then added, “Roma currently have no right to be in talks with Ola Solbakken. If there is any truth to these rumors, then it is a violation of rules.”
According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, Roma had already reached an agreement with the player and were negotiating a small fee with the Norwegian side given Solbakken’s contract expiry date is set for this coming December.
