Bodø/Glimt goalkeeper Nikita Haikin sounded very confident in an interview with Corriere dello Sport ahead of the upcoming midweek Conference League fixture vs Mourinho’s Roma.
When asked whether he’s happy to encounter the Giallorossi for a second time in this competition, Haikin replied, “I think it’s an excellent draw. We know them, they know us.”
“We may have lost Botheim and Berg down the road, but no player is irreplaceable, and we still have the same DNA that allowed us to beat Roma 6-1.”
On that resounding victory in the group stages, Haikin said, “It was an incredible match which will remain in the history books of Bodø/Glimt and Norwegian as well as world football.”
Finally, he concluded, “I’m not afraid of anybody and I don’t care who Mourinho chooses to start. We’ll focus on ourselves.”
