Roma have been in constant contact with Bologna in recent days to finalize the Castro deal, a deal worth approximately €35 million (including bonuses).
The two clubs have also discussed Artem Dovbyk, who must give final approval for a transfer to the Rossoblu. Bologna, however, also has a strong interest in Robinio Vaz.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, the 2007-born player was a target of sporting director Di Vaio back in January, but Frederic Massara beat out the competition by offering €22 million plus €3 million in bonuses.
However, the connection between the player and Gasperini hasn’t clicked, which is why Vaz’s profile could be back in fashion for Bologna.
Roma and Bologna are working on several separate fronts. The Giallorossi club convinced Bologna to sell Castro for €35 million and is in talks with the Rossoblu regarding the transfer of Artem Dovbyk, who has already spoken with Tedesco.
The inclusion of Robinio Vaz is also not to be ruled out. The former Marseille striker is on Sartori and Di Vaio’s radar, as is Espi, who, however, has a €25 million release clause that keeps him away from Bologna.
