Bologna boss Thiago Motta anticipates Roma showdown at Stadio Olimpico

Andy Mattioli

Bologna manager Thiago Motta held a press conference earlier today at Bologna’s training facilities where he previewed the team’s upcoming away game at the Stadio Olimpico with Jose Mourinho’s Roma.

“We’re feeling good, motivated and we’re ready to restart the season in a full stadium. It will be a good game to play in front of the crowd,” Motta told reporters on Monday morning.

“I am enthusiastic about getting back on the pitch and to experience the emotions that real games give you. We are happy we get to play immediately against a competitive team like Roma.”

“Though, we’ll be missing some guys. Barrow, De Silvestri, Zirkzee and Bonifazi will not be available for the match.”

“Mourinho? For me he is a fantastic person, with him I was able to improve a lot and win almost everything. He has always been special to me, not just for the player-coach relationship, but as a person as well.”
