Bologna manager Thiago Motta spoke a few days ahead of this weekend’s fixture with Roma.
Earlier today, Motta addressed the media in his pre-match press conference.
“Mourinho was and continues to be a great coach: I don’t believe in luck, he deserved everything he got so far in his career,” said Motta of his former manager from their Inter days.
“He worked a lot, if you go and see his story as a child he loved football, even though he didn’t play at a high level, which is why his career is even more important as long-standing manager.”
“I have great respect and admiration for him: I love him forever and wish him great luck. But. obviously I hope he doesn’t have luck against us on Sunday.”
“Roma have great players, we will still have to be good in the defensive phase, they defend very well, they have no problems defending with a low block but they can also be aggressive: in any case we will have to be patient, exploit the spaces, avoid counterattacks and persist in this game: because it is convenient for us. They tend to score a lot in the final minutes of the game, so we must beware.”
