Talks between Roma and Bologna for Uzbek striker Eldor Shomurodov came to a halt a few weeks ago and never picked up again as the two clubs failed to meet halfway. The Rossoblu were particularly put off by Roma’s demands and insistence on including an obligation in the deal for the ex-Genoa man.
Roma’s initial asking price of €12 million was never taken into consideration by Bologna, and the conditions for the obligation to be triggered were deemed too easily achievable.
Therefore, Bologna have started to look for alternatives. Il Resto del Carlino reports that Bologna are now nearing the signing of Bayern Munich attacker Joshua Zirkzee which would put an end to the existing Eldor Shomurodov links.
