Roma are being linked with Bologna midfielder Nicolas Dominguez.

The Argentine player has only one year left on his deal with Bologna and his name has been linked with a move to Roma who are in search of an additional midfielder for Jose Mourinho’s squad.

Bologna, however, seem reluctant to sell Dominguez in this window.

Their technical director, Claudio Fenucci, reaffirmed the club’s stance of wanting to try and renew Dominguez’s contract amid intensifying transfer rumours.

“There’s interest in many of our players,” Fenucci said in an interview during Bologna’s preseason.

“It’s not easy to talk to Dominguez’s agent right now, but the player himself said a few days ago that he is happy to be here which I think makes it possible for us to open talks for a contract renewal.”
