Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori is one of the more promising players in Serie A right now.
The young centreback has earned a call-up with the U21 Italy team and looks to draw a lot of interest from several top teams in the summer.
Calafiori – who departed Roma in 2022 – spoke to ANSA about his development in the years following his departure from the Italian capital.
“I think I grew a lot after leaving Roma,” he said. “I have grown mentally, being in a foreign country in Basel and also this year away from home has made me grow mentally compared to last year.”
“Last year was a year out of the spotlight, now everything has changed, I’m calm and I know that this hard work will bear results in the future.”
