With preseason underway, rumors have even reached José Mourinho’s trusted assistant manager João Sacramento.

Indeed, according to L’Equipe, the Special One’s right hand man has been identified by French side Bordeaux as an option for their head coaching position. Bordeaux’s owner, Gerard Lopez, is on the look-out for a new manager and the list of names includes Sacramento, who’s worked with Mourinho for two years, beginning at Tottenham in 2019.

The young assistant manager is well-liked all over Europe after his experience with the likes of Christophe Galtier, Marcelo Bielsa and Mourinho himself.

Bordeaux may reach out to him in the coming weeks. Their list of names of potential candidates include Lucien Favre, David Guion and Vladimir Petkovic.
