Borja Mayoral happy with Getafe move: “I deserved more minutes at Roma.”

Ex-Roma striker Borja Mayoral – who recently completed a switch from the Italian capital to Getafe – was asked about his move back to La Liga, his energy going into this second half to season and the lack of playing time under Jose Mourinho.

The interview was released by Radio Marca.

“I immediately liked the idea of joining Getafe. I arrived with great enthusiasm after a few months of not playing, but also with a bit of anger and frustration because I think I deserved more minutes at Roma.”

Mayoral also touched upon his campaign under former Roma manager Paulo Fonseca where he became the team’s leading goal-scorer.

“I have a lot of energy after last year’s successful season with Roma and I think I can show my qualities as a striker over here. I want to aim for the national team – that’s a dream of mine.”
