Speaking before kick-off against already relegated Crotone, Roma striker Borja Mayoral urged his side to finish the season in the best way possible.
The Giallorossi are poised to finish the season in the sixth or seventh position in the Serie A table after their league form over the past two months cratered, costing them a top four finish.
Even though there’s little to play for this evening, the Spaniard is still motivated to do well.
“We have to end the season well, we face very good teams,” he said to Roma TV.
“We haven’t won in our last handful of league games. Obviously Crotone have nothing to play for, but today is a chance for us to get a win.”
He added, “Let’s have some pride and end this campaign in the best way possible. Even from an individual standpoint I want to finish the season in the best possible manner. I’ve had done well this year and I’m pleased, but let’s end this well.”
