Borja Mayoral in talks to renew Real Madrid ahead of Roma move

Real Madrid striker Borja Mayoral is pushing to join Roma.

Sky Sport reports that the Spaniard is engaged in negotiations with Los Blancos on a contract renewal so that he can join Roma on loan with an option to buy.

The striker has only one year left on his contract with the La Liga side but the Giallorossi are pushing to acquire him on an initial loan deal rather than buying him permanently.

Roma already have a total agreement in place with the player and they continue to negotiate with Real Madrid to define all the details of the transfer.

The two clubs are expected to renew contact within the next few hours with the hope of finalising the operation.
