Borja Mayoral joining Roma on a two-year loan deal with an option to buy

Borja Mayoral is joining Roma.

Journalist Arancha Rodríguez of Tiempo de Juego and El Partidazo de COPE has reported that the 23 year-old will depart Los Blancos and join the Giallorossi on a two-year loan deal with an option to buy.

Mayoral will undergo his medical examinations tomorrow before putting pen to paper on his contract with the Giallorossi.

Before officially leaving the La Liga side, though, the striker will renew his contract with the club as his current deal was set to expire this summer.

Roma have been pursuing the Spaniard as their new “vice Edin Dzeko” throughout the last two weeks after he expressed his desire to leave Real Madrid in search of more consistent playing time.

Mayoral’s agent, Alejandro Camaño, touched down in Rome today to finalise the move.
