Borja Mayoral’s agent to land in Rome today

John Solano

Roma’s move for Real Madrid striker Borja Mayoral could be back on.

Spanish outlet AS has reported that the agent of the player will travel to the Italian capital today to meet with the Giallorossi.

The player was told this week by manager Zinedine Zidane that he wants the player to stay and is being counted on for this season. However, this hasn’t been reflected in the playing time: Luka Jović started yesterday against Valladolid while Mayoral was brought on in the 87th minute.

After spending two successful years at Levante, playing regularly — he does not want to slow down and wants to play with continuity.

Los Blancos have not been able to find a deal for Luka Jović and Mayoral is not willing to stay to be the third-choice striker. The Spaniard is intrigued by the project and role that Roma have offered to him as an exit from Real Madrid is increasingly possible.
